Pregnancy Evaluation...

Did you know? There are 2 types of pregnancy tests. They both test for the presence of b-HCG, a hormone that is elevated during pregnancy.

Urine pregnancy tests are commonly used and available at stores. These tests do NOT detect pregnancy until 2 weeks after conception! They can only detect whether b-HCG is present or not and are only accurate 97% of the time.

Blood pregnancy tests involves taking a small sample of blood for laboratory evaluation. With this method, we are able to test the exact level of the b-HCG hormone for a more accurate result. This test also can be performed as soon as 7 days after conception.
